This beautiful island in the Caribbean sea is surprisingly unspoilt, and is known for white sandy beaches, fun party life and some of the best diving in the world. The waters are so clear at the Santa Rosa wall in particular that scuba divers can enjoy amazing up-close views of coral reefs while they play with turtles and cat sharks. This little slice of paradise is a great destination for both adventure and romance and, due to its year-round Caribbean climate, if you do enjoy your trip there in summer, you can always head back there for some winter sun too.
Those who like the great outdoors will love the exotic and untrammelled jungle, while party animals can go wild by diving into the abundant nightlife, as every night here seems to be a carnival. You can get to Cozumel either by ship, since most Caribbean cruise routes call at this destination, as well as flights from most North American hubs.
